Flight Path Distance (“the App”) is a flight planning reference tool. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any information collected while you use the App.

Information We Collect

The App does not collect, store, or transmit personal data. Specifically:

• No account or registration is required.
• No names, email addresses, or personal identifiers are collected.
• No location data is transmitted to our servers. Geolocation (if enabled) is used only on-device to centre the map.
• Route and flight plan data is stored only on your device (local storage) and is not sent to any third-party analytics or tracking service.

Wind Data Requests

When you use the Winds Aloft feature (Pro), the App sends latitude, longitude, and altitude coordinates to our wind data service to retrieve forecast wind information. These requests contain only geographic coordinates — no personal data is included.

In-App Purchases

Subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment information. Please refer to Apple’s privacy policy for details on how they handle purchase data.

Third-Party Services

The App uses map tiles from third-party providers (e.g. Esri, OpenStreetMap). These providers may log standard HTTP request data (IP address, user agent) as part of serving map tiles. We do not control their data practices.

Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
